An Update From Little Town Pizza Chemainus
This is a post we really didn’t want to have to make.
Our final day serving customers from our current shared kitchen location in Chemainus will be Wednesday, October 21st.
With Thanksgiving and our regular Tuesday closures, we only have a handful of service days left.
We will be closed Monday, October 12th for Thanksgiving and Tuesday, October 13th, then reopen Wednesday, October 14th.
We will also be closed Tuesday, October 20th, before opening for our final day on Wednesday, October 21st.
We are really sad to be saying goodbye to this location, and we know this news may come as a surprise to a lot of people.
We took over Little Town Pizza just over three years ago on our daughter’s first birthday. She is four now, which really shows us how quickly the last few years have gone.
Chemainus has been a huge part of that journey, and we are incredibly thankful for every order, every conversation, every familiar face and everyone who has supported our family, our staff and Little Town Pizza.
Little Town Pizza is not going anywhere.
Our Lake Cowichan location will stay open, Roberts Street Pizza will continue serving Ladysmith and the surrounding area, and we are working hard on getting our frozen pizzas into more retailers.
This will also give us some more time to focus on Roberts Street Pizza, Little Town Pizza Lake Cowichan, our frozen pizzas and, most importantly, our family.
Sean is still recovering from a broken leg, so you may not see him around the stores as much right now, but hopefully he will be back on his feet soon.
For our Chemainus customers, Roberts Street Pizza in Ladysmith will continue delivering into Chemainus.
Starting October 22nd, calls to the Little Town Pizza Chemainus phone number will be temporarily forwarded to Roberts Street Pizza.
You can also call Roberts Street Pizza directly at 250-245-1119.
Roberts Street Pizza is reviewing its delivery area and we will share an updated Chemainus delivery range before October 21st.
Unfortunately, Roberts Street Pizza will not be able to deliver into Crofton at this time.
We also want to say a huge thank you to our Chemainus staff.
We are working to keep as many of our team members within our companies as we reasonably can. For anyone we cannot accommodate, we will help with references, job leads and connections with other local businesses that may be hiring.
Our team has been a huge part of Little Town Pizza Chemainus and we can’t thank them enough.
And this is not the end of Little Town Pizza in this area.
We love Chemainus and Crofton. When the right opportunity comes along to fully serve the area again, we plan to be back. Hopefully we won’t be gone for long.
That could mean another Little Town Pizza location, or maybe something a little smaller with a more streamlined menu.
We don’t want to jump into just any space simply to stay open. We would rather take our time, find the right opportunity and build something that makes sense long term for our customers, our staff and our family.
Vancouver Island is home for us. Larissa has lived here her entire life and Sean has been here for almost 20 years. Our family, our businesses, our friendships and so much of our lives are tied to these communities. For now, Little Town Pizza will continue serving Lake Cowichan, Roberts Street Pizza will continue delivering into Chemainus, and we will keep working on growing our frozen pizza line.
And when the right opportunity comes along to fully serve Chemainus and Crofton again, whether that is a full location or a smaller Little Town Pizza concept, we plan to be back.
From taking over Little Town Pizza on our daughter’s first birthday to watching her turn four, it has been quite the three years.
Our final day open in Chemainus will be Wednesday, October 21st. We hope we get a chance to see many of you before then.
Thank you, Chemainus, for everything.
Hopefully we won’t be gone for long. This isn’t goodbye.
